Nonlinear Instructional Design

I am available to share with others in the world my insights, methods, and findings. Please e-mail me and I will get back to you. Like millions of others I have spent my life preparing my children and students to fulfill their obligation to the next generation. We all know that we must help the next generation to live and prosper when it is their turn.

Why am I any different? I started long ago and I have worked on it everyday. No matter what anyone may say it takes time, opportunity, and the freedom to acquire and apply different understandings. We were told that this opportunity is given to all academics but the reality is that no system accepts ideas that are different. The understanding that there are major storytelling  linkages to learning is professed everyday. What is lacking is a knowledge of where to begin and what to do. When all you know is A you can call it B but it remains as A.

The only group in the world where it is known that there is a difference between A and B is in the military. It is quickly assessed by a military leadership after they send their brave soldiers to ride out on horse back to face Panzer tanks that it is past the time for change. At these times, learning  does not allow for a second chance.  To then maintain their story is extremely difficult if not impossible when this mistake is made.

Corporate training and practice is now on that horse back ride starting with our top private and public organizations. They are by no means stupid but they are constantly faced with the same solutions called by different names. Academic practice in the United States was created to fight the Soviet Union. 

Now the poor, working, and middle class are deemed not necessary by the enemy. Our job as professors has been to lull society into thinking that we have attained an education that will create a more informed citizen. 

When the external enemy is real any society must prepare their citizens. Our military strategy after WW II was to develop the educated middle class that would be required to create and and run the technology of war and prosperity. I still believe that the military maintains the view that individuals are capable of learning and gaining wisdom in the face of external pressure.

Textbook firms and their college administration beneficiaries have sold us out with useless materials. If Christ can be sold out for silver so can you and me.
